Good Morning Family!
It’s October and things are beginning to finally cool down, and we are seeing more rain to hopefully help us with fall colors this year. We have a busy Fall season coming up, so hang on for the ride!
Robin, Holly, and I would like to express our deepest gratitude for the generous Love Offering taken for Pastor Appreciation Month. You all have no idea how timely this gift was to help us during this time. Our hearts are full of thankfulness to the Lord for giving us the blessing of being a part of this “forever family”. You are all amazing!
We are now only two weeks away from the Fifth Annual Fall Fish Fry with THE HOMESTEAD PICKERS! Thanks to those of you who have signed up to help fry fish and make cornbread. We do need a few more to help with the actual frying of the fish, so utilize that sign up sheet and put on your chef hat! Dinner will be served that day at 5:30pm and the Pickers will play from 6-8pm. As the day approaches, we will need some of you to plan on helping out during the afternoon that day as we set up tables and the stage area, and of course to help with the all-important “tear down” afterward. Many hands make light work. Listen for announcements about how you can help.
Also, many thanks to those who have signed up to help with meals for several of out families who have experienced recent surgeries. Bearing one another’s burdens is a string suit of this church family.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Dr. Steven Gann
