Good Morning Family!

I want to re-emphasize something I had in last week’s bulletin, because there is an insert this week explaining the ministries in more detail.  Please check it out.  I want to again encourage you to pray specifically for ways we may be able to reach out this year to engage further with our community.  We have the Bridges Ministry, the Shut-In Ministry, and the Welcome Ministry all doing their part to reach the groups to which they minister.

If you would like further information about any of these; please see Tracy Hudson or Robin about Bridges Ministry, Lana Mapes regarding the Welcoming Ministry for new residents, and Janet Gehant if you would like to minister in the Shut-In Ministry.

The Events team is working hard on the Community Appreciation Fish Fry set for Sunday evening, October 9, 2022.  Not only will there be some great food, but great music as well as we have secured “The Homestead Pickers” from Silver Dollar City to come and play for the community that night.  Food will begin to be served at 6:00pm and music will begin at 6:30pm.  The Pickers will play some great American songs, share stories, and give folks the chuckles for about an hour.  Come for an evening of refreshing, encouragement, and an opportunity to meet some folks from the community that we pray will stop in for the night.

Today’s message is taken from another very familiar Scripture passage from the Psalms.  We will be looking at Psalm 121 this morning.   The message is entitled, “My Help”.  In this time in which we live, we all need to remember the Lord is watching over us and is our constant Help and Friend.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
