Good Morning Family!

Last week we wrapped up “The Way of Wisdom” sermon series and I wish to thank many of you for your encouraging words during the time we were there.  That means a lot to me, it really does. I hope it helped many of us in our walk with Christ during these days when we need to be sure to seek His wisdom.

Next Sunday, October 30, will be our regularly scheduled Business Meeting/Luncheon.  There was no good way to get it in any other time.  I am doing my best to put it on the calendar as far away from the Fish Fry and also as far away from the Thanksgiving Meal as possible and still allow time for other emphases on the Sundays in between.

     And speaking of other emphases:

*Sunday Morning, October 30 (next week) we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper in our morning service.

*Sunday Morning, November 13, we will host a speaker from the Gideons International to come and share about this worldwide ministry that we support each time with a love offering taken that morning.

*Sunday Morning, November 20, FBCCF Thanksgiving Luncheon immediately after the morning worship service.

*Sunday Evening, November 27, “The Hanging of the Greens”… always a special time for the church family to gather to decorate the church building for Christmas.

Second week for this since several were away last Sunday:

Robin, Holly, and I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the very encouraging card we received last week for Pastor Appreciation.  Having so many of you personally sign it was so wonderful to read, thanks so much!  Also, we want to thank you so much for the generous gift to us.  It is extremely helpful to us during the current season in which we are as a family.  So, thank you all so very much.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
