Good Morning Family,

This morning Sunday, October 15th, Robin, Tracy, David, and I are in the Kansas City area to lead worship and speak at a local church Ladies Conference.  I am so thankful we have such a great team of friends to step in this morning.  Barney and Landon Munhollon along with Elaine Llewellyn are leading in worship today, Paul Winfrey will be guiding you through the Church Family Prayer time and Rev. Dale Keel will bring a message from the Word here as you meet together for worship on this Lord’s Day.  Thanks to everyone on the platform and behind the scenes putting together this morning’s worship time.

After a very hard week of news that has seemed to get worse by the day, we continue to lift up all of those affected in Israel by the terrorist attack and ongoing struggle now to defend the nation from further atrocities and pursue those responsible.  The days ahead will bring more dreadful scenes before us as evil is confronted and taken down.  I will leaving the flag grouping up as a reminder to pray.

For the past month or so, the projector in the sanctuary has become dimmer by the week.  You may have noticed.  I have had to reduce some of the overhead lighting to make it more readable.  This past week I looked up the information on our projector and found it to have been discontinued in 2009.  However, I was able to find a suitable bulb assembly for it online and installed that this past Wednesday.  The image is much, much better now as you see this morning in worship.  I was able also to re-light a few of the overhead lights on the platform as well for this morning.  I am prayerful that this repair will buy us some time into 2024, so we can look at options for updating that part of our sanctuary equipment in a very thoughtful and wise way as we can now take time to look at and research exactly what we might want to do that would take us many more years down the road.

Next Sunday Evening: Second Annual Fish Fry featuring The Homestead Pickers.  Invite friends and neighbors for a great time of encouragement for our community and church family!  Small postcard invites are available on the table in the foyer 😊

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Bro. Steven
