Good Morning Family,

Another week of a worsening situation in Ukraine as we continue to pray for her people, strength for the military, the churches, the women and children who have fled, and the men who have stayed behind to fight for their freedom from Putin’s Russian tyranny. We pray and stand by for how this will all unfold.

Well, I am writng this ahead of the Winter Banquet, because obviously the bulletin was completed before last night 😊 But, I have seen the work going into this event and I must once again tell the Special events team “KUDOS!” From the planning to the shopping, to the coordinating, to the preparation and cooking, decorating and serving/cleanup…the Winter Banquet is a work of art! Special Events Team… we give a resounding standing ovation, two thumbs up, and a FIVE STAR rating. If I could give six I would, but five is the highest on food services scale!

Last week after the morning service, the Church Council voted to move the Sunday Evening Meeting time to once per quarter instead of weekly. There were several reasons for this move; the main one being to be sure we aren’t burning our workers at both ends, since we have increased ministries in other areas of the past several years. We also believe that moving to once per quarter will enable us to make it more of an even for church fellowship, or community outreach, or any other type of special time where more of the church family can be a part. The first New Sunday Evening @ The Cape will be Sunday, May 1st! Time and event TBA.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Your Shepherd of the Hills,

Bro. Steven
