Good Morning Family!

Thanks to our church family for gathering last Thursday evening for encouragement and comfort.  Once again, in a short time, the family of God demonstrated faith in our Lord and His promises to us as His children in times of sorrow.  I am sure we are collectively praising the Lord for His goodness in these times and at the same time petitioning Him to allow us to move forward and accomplish greater things because of the impact those He has recently called to Heaven have made in this church family.

The Deacon Team also requests your prayers during this time as they will spend a season in prayer before meeting again the first part of August to discuss and begin to re-evaluate and re-structure a few things in how they minister to the church family.

So, next Sunday, we will share in a time of celebration of the founding of the United States.  Our morning service will reflect this emphasis as usual.  The immediately after the morning service, there will be an outing for the faithful attenders in our Student Ministries Sunday School ministry.  They will enjoy a box lunch as we depart for an afternoon in Branson at 1984, a local large arcade featuring video games and pinball games of the 1980’s.  Then, we will go out for ice cream to cap off the afternoon.  This now annual outing is a reward for those students who are so faithful on Sunday mornings.  This is also a treat for the adults who work with them weekly to get to spend time with the students outside of the classroom.

Then, later that evening, the entire church family will gather at 7:30pm on the front lawn for an Independence Day Celebration featuring Food, Fellowship, and Fireworks.  Bring a lawn chair and a hard hat!  See insert for full information on this.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Bro. Steven
