Good Morning Family!

We are at present in the “receiving bids” phase of the Land Development project for the recently donated acreage east and north of our facility.  I have talked to four excavating companies, and we presently have two bids and expecting a third.  One of the companies was not able to make it happen due to scheduling and an extremely high present workload.  We are exploring all safe and legal options for the project with an eye to long term environmental concerns and making sure the land is safe and useful for future purposes.

As soon as these bids are all in, I’ll be calling the Church Council and Finance Committee together to pray over and decide what the next course of action will be.  My prayer is that we have all of the mobile homes and hazardous materials out, lagoon cleared/filled, and land cleared by the end of the Fall or sooner, Lord willing.  We are confident that since the Lord saw fit to give us this land, He has a plan for us to clear it.

I know there are possibly many ideas about what the plan might be down the road.  To that end, I will be putting together a Long Range Planning Team for that purpose that will begin to meet later this Fall.  But, for right now, the goal is to clear it and make it cleared off enough for us to maintain on our own until the Lord lets us in on what He wants us to do with it.  In the meantime, we are asking if the Lord should lead any to give toward the clearing project, that funds be donated to Designated Budget Line Item #60 Land Development.

As I have mentioned before, for the 250th Celebration of Independence Day, we will gather on the morning of the Fourth of July on the church front lawn at 10:00am for a public outdoor reading of the Declaration of Independence.  My hope is that individuals and families from the community will come and hear the document proclaimed in its entirety maybe for the first time.  So, please set aside time that morning to come and be part of something on that momentous day that will hopefully stir your patriotism and devotion to duty for the God who called us to freedom.

Then on the night of Sunday July 5th beginning at 7pm we will gather for our FBCCF Independence Day Celebration.  Bring a lawn chair, enjoy some food, and then our team will light up the sky as always.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”     II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
