Good Morning Family!

Summer is officially upon us and, for me, that means we are only about 12 weeks from FALL!! It’s not that I wish three months of my life away every year, it is just that I am not a fan of being hot.  On top of that, they say that the whole “El Niño” thing is really bad this year and so we are expected to be extra steamy this trip around the sun.  Well, “God grant me the serenity….”  you know the rest of it.

Don’t forget next Sunday July 2nd is our FBCCF Church Family Independence Day Celebration.  It all begins with Sunday School at 9:30am followed by a special Fourth of July themed service at 10:30am during which our choir will present two special selections for our worship time as we offer our thanksgiving to the Lord for His wonderful gift of our liberties and freedoms in America.  We will also spend time praying for our nation that morning.

Then, that evening July 2nd at 7:00pm, we will gather on our church front lawn to share together in a good old fashioned “First Family Fourth” (on the 2nd😊).  Homemade ice cream, good friends, and fireworks will be on the agenda.  Come spend a fun evening together!

Remember to be in prayer for the 2023 Resolved Summer Student Challenge on July 20-22.  We are also making the meals and evening services a “church wide time” of challenge and encouragement.  The students will spend time in kid centered team building activities and then the whole church family will gather for the meals and services on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Check the handouts for times.  Come be a part of a special time in the life of our church family and community as we prayerfully expect the Lord to move in revival and renewal.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
