Good Morning Family!

What a full week we have had around here with preparations for the Ladies Conference in September with a planning meeting, several rehearsals and a little shopping for supplies along the way.

We have our four conference speakers secured for the event and although I am not one of the gals, I am looking forward to a great day on September 20th.  On that day, I’m just the guy with the guitar and I get to also hear some tremendous teaching from the Word by women to women.  Each one of our speakers has a different and encouraging perspective on following Jesus and I’m asking for you to pray for them as they are preparing to lead ladies from many different churches who have, so far, already signed up to attend.  Be sure to check out the announcement posted on the church Facebook page to see more details.

Work has begun on removing the present kitchen cabinetry and laying groundwork for new electric and plumbing situations.  I am so grateful to the guys who have gathered to begin work in the building.  And of course, we are very thankful for Dave Stover’s excellent cabinet making skills as he continues to craft the new layout.  Many hours are going into this incredible new kitchen designed for ministry here at FBCCF.  Some of the cabinets are already at church and are preparing to be painted soon by our crew.

For the time being, classes will still be able to be held in the Fellowship Hall.  We are doing our best to try to disrupt teaching times down there as little as possible.  I will keep our Sunday School class, our Wednesday and Tuesday 1:3ABF volunteers apprised week by week if any of that changes.  But, as far as actually cooking in the kitchen, that is presently not possible, so we are going to have to get creative on Wednesdays and for Tuesday 1:3ABF.  Robin and I will communicate with our volunteers on this.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15
