From Your Pastor's Heart - July 23, 2023

Good Morning Family,

Usually, as I related last week, I write this letter on Thursday morning or Wednesday night.  But, this week, I am writing this on Saturday afternoon, so I can adequately express my gratitude for such a tremendous three days of Resolved 2023!

Overall, we had about 30 students and about that many volunteers putting everything together.  It was such a fantastic three days of seeing the Lord move in hearts, both student and adult alike.  The spirit of worship was present and the consistent attitudes of wanting to learn from the Word prevailed among all those in attendance.  I also want to thank those of you from the congregation that took time out of your schedules to attend dinner and worship on some of the nights and Saturday.  It meant a lot to Tracy, the adult leaders, and to the students as well to see you there.  Thank you for showing up!

It was also great to be able to visit with a few students from Cedar Ridge Baptist that joined us on the first night.  It was a blessing to see the two student groups of these churches meld together in games, fellowship, and worship.

There is no way to adequately express my thanks and deep appreciation for Tracy, our Student Ministries Director who headed this operation and for my “always there” Robin who helped coordinate so many aspects of this venture from food to worship.  And because there were so many, I want to say a great BIG THANK YOU to all who worked in in the various areas of ministry during Resolved.  To those who cooked, helped with games, helped with worship, and were all around good eggs for doing anything asked of you, I express to you my love and gratitude in abundance.

All in all, Resolved 2023 was very profitable for the Kingdom.  Let us pray that the spiritual gains made will remain and be foundational to future growth in Christ for all of us.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.
