Good Morning Family!

I am praying for some needed relief to our area of the country due to the excessive heat lately.  It seems to be on the top of many people’s minds right now and it seems there is little change in sight.  It won’t be long though before we will see some changes hopefully and we are halfway through the summer months and just a month away from the beginning of the new school year.

Speaking of being outside, we were planning on taking a group of students and leaders to the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, this next Tuesday July 19.  However, due to the expected temperature of 105 that day, we will postpone this to a later date TBD.  I am so incredible thankful for our weekly adult leaders as they have been braving the heat in cooking and driving vans and watching kids even outside at times.  I regret we have to cancel the Tuesday trip to Eureka Springs, but there is no getting around the need to be as safe as we can.

Also, in connection to the postponing of Tuesday Night’s outing, we were already planning on not having activities this coming Wednesday July 20th.  So, we will keep that as already decided and we will NOT have any activities for this Wednesday evening’s Cape Crusaders on July 20th as well.  The weather is just too extreme this week and we also would like to give our adult leaders a much-needed week off.

Coming up on July 24th, next Sunday, will be our third quarterly Business and Ministry Meeting for 2022.  We will, as usual, plan to meet immediately after our morning worship service.  We will gather in the Fellowship Hall for a pot-luck and then a time of catching up on all that is happening in the ministries at FBCCF.  If you cannot bring anything for the potluck that day, please plan on staying anyhow as there is always enough food for everyone.  The church will provide beverages, paper goods, and plasticware.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,
