Good Morning Family!
What a full day we had last Sunday! Our morning service centered around our duties and responsibilities as citizens of America and our priority as citizens of the Kingdom and children of God. And we also got to celebrate the baptisms of Dave and Melissa Obert. What a great morning! Thanks so very much to those who stayed after to put away the baptistery.
I want to thank also Tracy Hudson, David Hudson, Robin Gann, and Donella Carr for taking our student-age Sunday School faithful out last week after the morning service. A great time was had by all as we enjoyed lunch at the Papa Grands’ pizza, soup, and salad buffet. Then, we all headed over to 1984, a fantastic arcade at Branson Meadows of vintage video and pinball games just like you stepped back into 1984. We had a great time playing games and spending time with the kids! Then we finished off with Dairy Queen. All in all, a fun afternoon to say “thank you” to our students who have been so faithful to Sunday School.
To cap off the day, we had over 75 folks show up for our Independence Day Celebration Dinner which we held inside due to the rain. Thanks so much to everyone who brought something to share! It turned out great as always.
Fortunately, the rain broke up and we were able to get the fireworks off the ground. Big thanks to all of the individuals who bought and donated fireworks for our Pyro Team! Your contributions made for a very memorable night! To the guys with the lighters…Daniel Power, John Dudek, and David Hudson, you did a “bang up” job of lighting up the sky for everyone!
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
