Good Morning Family!

Each year, I think I say the same thing…

“I can’t believe it’s _________" (fill in the blank with the year).  Well, it is 2024 and we are looking forward to another great year of ministry together.  All we have to do is keep our eyes on Jesus and everything will fall into place.  The Lord keeps on entrusting to this ministry more and responsibility as we continue… Moving Forward Together.

As I typed that last phrase I went back and highlighted it in bold lettering as that is a great motto by which to do ministry.  This church family is really fantastic at this.  The way you all keep track of each other and care for what is going on in the lives of your brothers and sisters is such a blessing to see.  I have never personally known of a church family that is so close and connected; and works so hard at remaining so.  I will commit to you to work with more effort at this in 2024 as well.

On January 21st, we will have our first Business Meeting Luncheon of the year.  On that day we will meet in the Fellowship Hall for lunch and then take a look back at 2023 as we cast vision for our ministries in 2024.  We will also look at what is coming up on the horizon.

One more thing I would like to stress this morning is that this is an excellent time for some of us who have maybe gotten out of the habit of attending a Sunday School class, to do so.  Don’t let the busyness of the holidays to have been the cause for you to have broken a habit of faithfulness.  Get back in the swing of studying Scripture together in one of our classes designed especially for you.  If you have not been attending a class before, and you are unsure where you might fit in, see our Sunday School Director, Christina Harris!

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”      II Timothy 2:15.
