Good Morning Family,

“Here We Come-A-Caroling”!!! Welcome to the First Sunday of the Advent Season at First Baptist Church. I love this time of year as we decorate the church building and celebrate the First Coming of the One who will come again soon.

One day, we will celebrate the last Christmas here on this old earth and then forevermore, we will be in His presence. If we think that Christmas songs are beautiful, I can’t wait to sing and worship in His very presence with songs we have never sang before. Or perhaps, there may be some familiar songs in Heaven, who knows for sure? The book of Revelation gives us lyrics we will sing, but not melodies. I suppose it’s possible that we have been given some melodies here on this earth that will be used in our heavenly experience, but we will have to wait to find out.

Well, on to today, we will worship Christ this morning on this First Sunday of Advent by looking at the theme of PEACE. He is our peace, and He also gives us peace. We will discuss this a little more in depth in the message this morning.

I am so thankful for our decorating crew that attended the “Hanging of the Greens” this past Sunday night and some also came up to work on the décor throughout the remainder of the week. The building is so beautiful! Mucho Thanks!

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
