Good Morning Family!
This morning is our Second Sunday of Easter Advent. Today, we will be focusing on a very poignant moment in the final week of Jesus’ earthly life. The message title is “The Anointing of the Dead”. I hope you are able to be here each week as we progress through several of the events in the final days leading up to the cross on Good Friday and the resurrection on Easter morning.
I am leaving this layout in my letter each week, so you can see where we have been and where we are going.…
Sunday, March 30th 10:30am service …………… “The Betrayal of a Friend”
Sunday, April 6th 10:30am service …………. “The Anointing of the Dead”
Palm Sunday April 13th 10:30am service …… “The Rebuke of the Teacher”
Good Friday April 18th 6:30pm evening service …… “The Death of the Son”
Easter Sunday April 20th 10:30am service ……… “The Victory of the King”
Today, right after the morning service, we will be having a short Church Council Meeting in Bro. Dale’s classroom. I will stay and shake a few hands at the front door, then I will come immediately to the meeting to walk the Council through a few ideas and talking points as we look to the future on a few items to help us in ministry to one another and our community.
We had a very encouraging Tuesday 1:3ABF this past week! It just keeps growing as we had 30 people there for dinner, prayer and some great Bible discussions on some really interesting topics having to do with the origin of evil and the Pre-Flood world situation. We will eventually bring this full circle as to what the world of Noah has to do with the Last Days as the weeks progress.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
