Good Morning Family!
What a great Easter weekend we had! Our Good Friday Service was not only well attended as usual, but the spirit there was one of worship and thanksgiving to the Lord for His sacrifice for us. I sincerely enjoyed being able to serve the elements of communion to each of you at our family gathering.
Easter Sunday Morning was a great time once again as we gathered for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall before Sunday School. Thanks to all who had a hand in preparation and/or serving and clean up. As usual, I am deeply grateful each week for our team of musicians and AV techs that help us worship together… thanks to each of you for leading us as we worship the Risen Lord! I also want to thank our Sunday School Teachers for leading their classes on that special day as well. Great job, folks!
Some of our folks took eggs home to stuff and some came to the church to stuff candy in the eggs this past week for the Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a great time, and I know they appreciated it. As I drove a few of our kids home after the Egg Hunt, as they were getting on the van, one of them came up behind me and hugged my neck and said, “Thank you so much for the Egg Hunt! It was the best day!” That makes all of it worthwhile, doesn’t it? I was so blessed! I wanted to pass this hug along to all of you for making that day happen for them.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
