From Your Pastor's Heart - April 21, 2024

Good Morning Family!

I want to thank everyone for their participation in our Quarterly Business Meeting/Potluck last week.  I am so grateful not only for the hands that prepared the food, but the hearts behind it.  And of course, we are thankful for it all coming from the hand of the Lord.  Many great reports were shared last week from all across the Lord’s ministries here at FBCCF.  He has been blessing us greatly in many ways!

I do want to thank all of you who have been praying over the announcement last week.  By now, reading this, you may know that we have postponed a vote in the decision regarding the land that sits to the north and east of our property.  I contacted the Church Council, the Trustees, and the Finance Committee earlier this week letting them know, it would be my preference as pastor to delay this vote until some new information which was brought to my attention this past week could be discussed.  That meeting of this group will occur right after the morning service where I will share what I learned regarding the land situation.

Prayer is so all important in these times.  There are many aspects to discerning the will of the Lord in any particular matter and so I would ask you to continue to pray for these committees and for all involved to come to the will of God in this matter.  This is something I grow more keenly aware of with each passing year of my life.  For those of you who have been praying for me as your shepherd, as we look into all of this, I thank you.  I also want to express a great deal of thanks to Steve Llewellyn for doing so much footwork and basically detective work in seeking out from the public records what we also need to know in order to make wise decisions.

In all things, the Lord has our back, and He guides us, and for that I am immensely grateful, more than you could know!  His providence is to always be trusted.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”      II Timothy 2:15.

Your Shepherd of the Hills,

Bro. Steven
